Bandundu launches an awareness campaign to combat insalubrity and prevent disease.

Bandundu, a province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was the scene of an invitation launched by Doctor Christian Timpini, doctor at the general reference hospital of Bandundu, inviting the population of this province to redouble their efforts in the fight against public insalubrity. In an interview with the ACP, he urged people to keep their living environment clean, in order to live in a healthy way.

Dr. Timpini highlighted the negative impact of dirt on everyone’s quality of life, recalling that “sanitation is very important in our living environments, because dirt has a very considerable impact on human life. and causes several diseases that can lead to death,” including typhoid fever, malaria and diarrhoea, diseases that could be avoided if everyone acted at their level for a healthier environment.

The doctor therefore called on the authorities and community leaders to support the populations in the fight against insalubrity by organizing door-to-door awareness campaigns. Their role will be to make people understand the need to protect the environment and improve hygienic conditions in their neighborhood, in order to prevent the most common diseases.

In short, this awareness campaign is essential in a context where diseases linked to insalubrity are a scourge that Bandundu must fight. It is important to remember that collective actions have more impact than individual actions, and it is up to all of us to contribute to a healthier environment.
