11th edition of Fespam: the pan-African music festival is making a comeback!

OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE 11th EDITION OF FESPAM 2021

The Pan-African Music Festival (Fespam) is back with its 11th edition. The news was officially announced on May 13, 2021 by the Festival’s Organizing Committee during a conference led by Hugues Gervais Ondaye, Commissioner General of Fespam, and Liz Pascal Moussodji Nziengui, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Industry. The official launch of the 11th edition of Fespam will be held in Sibiti, in the department of Lekoumou, in the Republic of Congo, on May 13, 2021. The event is estimated at a cost of 2 billion CFA. Fespam has announced a new policy taking into account the grievances of artists, in particular the desire for better treatment of fees. To this end, he asked artists to consider opening accounts to interest banks in the cultural industry.

The Commissioner General said he was satisfied with the relaunch of Fespam by the Head of State, because the economic impact of this event should not be overlooked. This edition is therefore definitely reviving the festivities that used to be held every two years.

With regard to sound equipment and production, the Chief of Staff indicated that new equipment was acquired following talks with Sono Music, based in Paris, France.

This edition therefore promises many advances and improvements to meet the expectations of artists and the public as well as a positive economic impact for the city of Sibiti and the Republic of Congo.
