Partial Results of the 2023 Presidential Elections: Félix Tshisekedi in the lead

The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) continues to publish partial results of the 2023 presidential elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo. At this stage, the outgoing president, Félix Tshisekedi, maintains a large lead over the eighteen other candidates in the running.

So far, the CENI has published the partial results of 173 electoral constituencies, as well as the diaspora, out of a total of 179. Of the 9,333,562 valid votes cast, candidate Félix Tshisekedi maintains his first place by winning 7,219 816 votes, or 77.3% of the votes. He is closely followed by Moïse Katumbi, with 15.7% of the votes.

Martin Fayulu comes in third position, followed by Adolphe Muzito and Radjabho Tebabho Sorobabho. The final publication of the provisional results by the CENI is scheduled for December 31.

This comfortable lead by Félix Tshisekedi in the partial results raises questions and fuels political debates. Some are already contesting these results, while others are calling for the electoral process to continue to guarantee the transparency and legitimacy of the vote.

It is important to note that these partial results are not final and other constituencies still need to be considered. We must therefore remain vigilant and wait for the publication of the final results to know the next elected president of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This electoral period is also marked by political tensions and protests, which highlights the importance of joint action to ensure justice and security during this critical period.

It is essential to closely monitor the evolving political situation in the DRC and stay informed of the latest developments. The coming days will be decisive for the country and we must remain attentive to developments that could have an impact on the political and social future of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
